Don't want to deal with leaders. You are the one who will suffer!

In the workplace, I am not good at ingratiating with leaders, nor willing to deal with them. What should I do if the leaders misunderstand me recently?

Editor's note: All misunderstandings are "pots" without timely communication.

The most taboo thing in the workplace is not to communicate or not to communicate. "Flattery" and "dealing with" are two different things. Dealing with leaders is necessary for social interaction, and also for necessary work handover and feedback.

Take the initiative to find the leader and solve the misunderstanding

All things should be explained when they are clear. No one likes to be misunderstood all the time. Even if you don't want to deal with the leaders, you can't just be dumb. You still have to find a suitable time to sit down and have a good chat with the leader. It will only be good for you to solve the misunderstanding.

If you think you are really embarrassed to raise this issue in front of the leader, you can express your views clearly through SMS or WeChat, so that the leader can know your attitude and understand that you did not do it intentionally.

Change yourself and refuse "social pinch"

The leader is also a human being and a "special" colleague. In the normal social process, he does not want to make enemies in the company, and also does not want the employees to feel uncomfortable with him even the normal working relationship. The behavior of running away at the sight of a leader is really impolite. Leaders who run twice at a time will not pay attention to it, but more times will inevitably lead to misunderstandings.

As an employee, it's better to get along with the leader normally. No one wants you to ingratiate, and no one will regard your normal social interaction as ingratiating with the leader.

What you need to do is do your job well, get along with your leaders and colleagues in a big way, try to come out of your small corner and actively accept the social world.

Editor's suggestion: Your change can start with "Good morning"!

The following is the occasion when you encounter leaders with high chance. Please take your notebook and make notes!

The best place for greetings: elevator room, tea room

Way to get along: smile and say hello

When you accidentally encounter a leader in the elevator or tea room, don't run away in a hurry and avoid it. The time you spend together is only 30 seconds at most. Therefore, you can smile and nod or make a few natural greetings, but don't use such bad topics as "the weather is really nice"!

The most awkward place to encounter: toilet

Way of getting along: nod broadly, and never take the initiative if the leader is not active

When you encounter a leader in the toilet, don't cause unnecessary embarrassment because you try to find a topic. If the leader doesn't take the initiative, I won't take the initiative. Nod and sign to solve the problem!

The most likely "topic setting" occasion: team activities

Way of getting along: find several topics that leaders are interested in

In team activities, we cannot avoid getting along with leaders directly. Since it is an activity, I think leaders also hope to get along with everyone like friends. So we can act according to the situation, find a few topics that the leaders are interested in from the activities, poke the awkward atmosphere at the scene, and happiness is over!
